Dear David Innes

Over the years I have learnt that sending emails to people unsolicited constitutes arguably harassment, and I have been so-accused by the Kent and Medway Partnership Trust as you will note from the attached correspondence: FrLegalServices(CAE)2Sep2021.docs. Likewise, I was banned by the Cabinet office to send emails to its Government Legal Department in relation to proceedings of Central London County Court in Claim E35YM660 in which I was protesting through the proper procedures of the Appeal stage in this Claim against the award of £4170 in costs to the Defendant, the present Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Until the Court rules that these means of securing vital information that a citizen needs in the total absence of able and willing solicitors to act on behalf of a party to the Civil proceedings, and with particular regard to the fact that Mr Rehman Chishti was singularly responsible for denying me access to the Parliament directly for a private members bill to register the manner in which the State allows criminals to operate, my email to the MP would be most injudicious, regardless of the merits of the restrictions on Universal Credit being considered by the Prime Minister at tomorrow’s Meeting. This Claim is currently being considered as far as I know by the National Health Service as you will note from the attached correspondence: ToUKCovidSurveySep2021.docx.

It is not clear to me whether the Court is still deliberating over the Appeal lodged by me on 23 June 2021/15 July 2021, since the matter should either be resolved in the Court of Law, in Parliament, by the Police, or whether it would be appropriate for 38 Degrees to start a petition for consultation with the members to ascertain just what kind of protestations are tolerated by the State of the United Kingdom. I note today that Liberty has issued a video on Facebook on this matter with regards to the Police Bill being enacted. So it does appear that unless clear-cut guidance is obtained in accordance with the Constitutional Law of the United Kingdom on the intensity of Police State being enforced within the United Kingdom, which partly explains why so many of my individual petitions were not hosted by 38 Degrees, I would stay quiet and hold my counsel to let Brahma-Nature take its course.

I am sorry to disappoint you but one of my petitions-campaign in 38 Degrees did focus on the institutional changes that I would like to see on how this protest institution operates in the United Kingdom. Would you kindly reconsider hosting this particular petition in light of the above arguments?

Yours sincerely

Dear Shantanu,

Last week we emailed about a debate on government plans to cut Universal Credit by £20 a week, so you could email your MP and ask them to go along and speak out against the cut. The debate was cancelled at the last minute, but it looks like it's back on for tomorrow.

Losing this £20 could have a terrible impact on so many. Ahead of the new debate tomorrow will you email your MP and ask them to do everything they can to stop this cut? Use the button to send a message to Rehman Chishti MP - and for more information you can read the email we sent last week below:

EMAIL YOUR MP

Here's the email we sent last week:

Dear Shantanu,

The Government is planning on scrapping the £20 boost to Universal Credit, introduced at the start of the pandemic, in just a few weeks time. [1] The extra £20 a week has made a huge difference and provides a vital lifeline for so many. For some it's been the difference between putting food on the table or going hungry during this crisis. [2]

The Government is facing growing pressure to do the right thing and keep the boost in place with charities, celebrities, tens of thousands of members of the public, and even Conservative MP’s against the plans. [3] And tomorrow it's being debated in Parliament - so we need as many MP’s as possible to attend and have their say. [4]

That's where you come in Shantanu, but we don’t have long. Could you take a few minutes to email your MP, Rehman Chishti, and ask them to attend tomorrow’s debate? If we want MPs to go along, they need to know their constituents expect it of them.

Will you email Rehman Chishti now and ask them to attend tomorrow’s important debate?

EMAIL YOUR MP

Rishi Sunak introduced the £20 a week boost to Universal Credit at the start of the pandemic to help people cope with the extra costs of Covid-19. [5] But it’s set to be phased out at the end of this month. And without the boost, millions of families could be left struggling. [6] It could be the difference between buying school shoes for a child or being able to turn the heating on as winter approaches.

Don’t worry if you haven’t emailed your MP before, it’s easy to do and even a short email could go a long way. Here are some tips to get you started:

Tell your MP why you think they should publicly back the Universal Credit boost being made permanent.

Are you or anyone you know affected by the proposed scrapping of the Universal Credit boost? Tell your MP how it would affect you or them.

Ask your MP to raise the issue with the Government at tomorrow’s debate in Parliament

Remember to always be polite!

Shantanu we don’t have long, will you write to your MP now and urge them to attend tomorrow’s debate?

EMAIL YOUR MP

Thanks for everything you do,

David, Megan and the 38 Degrees team

38 Degrees has no big donors - we\’re funded by ordinary people who care, like you. Regular donations mean that we can plan future campaigns, pay our staff a decent wage, and keep fighting for what we all believe in. And with the challenges we're facing - it's going to take as many of us as possible chipping in to help tackle them.

So, Shantanu, will you consider setting up a regular donation of a fiver, tenner or whatever you can spare?
