Good Morning Dr Panigrahi,
Thank you for your email.
We will contact Xyla for your referral onto the National Diabetes Prevention Programme today as get you enrolled as soon as possible.
For the other items you have mentioned, unfortunately I am unable to help as I am not a clinician and I do not have the medical knowledge to pass on. Xyla may have some advice about prediabetes but please refer to your GP or other healthcare professional regarding your care.
As you have come through to the Diabetes Transformation Team, I am unaware of your appointment at Maudsley Hospital so please speak to the clinician who referred you initially.
If you have any other questions relating to diabetes prevention, I will be happy to help.
Thanks,
Leslie

Subject: Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme
Dear Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group
1. I have received a letter from Dr Shah & Partners my GP Surgery about my prediabetic status as attached: FrLongCatlisRoadSurgery(DiabetesPreventionXYLAprogramme)4Nov2021.
2. As you are aware from the out of area referral to Maudsley Hospital that the Surgery made on Dr Odesanya the Consultant Psychiatrist's recommendation, I have been an mental patient of various NHS Institutions for the past 20 years and am currently on risperidone (anti-psychotic), sertraline (anti-depressant) and depakote (mood-stabilising) medications following various others that were tried over that period. The Surgery had advised me at least 3 years ago that I was prediabetic and this condition along with others that I have such as intermittent and excessive urination (not sure if this is a symptom of diabetes or not), so I need specialist advise right away from XYLA.
3. I would therefore be grateful if you would contact XYLA immediately to recruit me on to the programme without waiting for the two weeks that is indicated in this email as being the time for automaitic referral unless I opt out in the meantime.
Yours sincerely
Dr Shantanu Panigrahi
