Question Title

10. Do you have any additional comments or suggestions as to how the Sainsbury’s online application process could be improved? I worked for Sainsburys in March-June 2020 at a Convenience Store in Tonbridge Road and the probation period was not satisfactorily completed because an organisation calling itself Victims of Panigrahi Association sent a criminal anonymous email with obnoxious remarks towards the reputation of the Store Manager Yaw Aboagye Gwekwe to disrupt my work for the company. I got on with my work as best as I could but felt that this interference in my work programme had placed my relationship with the Store Manager under considerable distress, which was a contributory factor in my probation being extended to 12 weeks. Sainsburys did not give me a fair hearing and instead offered me £500 compensation which it did not honour. Nevertheless, I let bygones be bygones and applied for two further jobs at Sainsburys, one in Faversham and the other in Tonbridge (Angel Centre). I passed my online training and did all the till training in the Tonbridge employment then suddenly I was told that because of the circumstances of the first employment and the way it was terminated, I had been placed on not-for-rehire label by Sainsburys. I consider this grossly unfair in light of the correspondence that was exchanged on the initial job application and the matter currently is in the London South (Ashford) Employment Tribunal where I will be making an enquiry tomorrow on the progress of those legal proceedings where I claimed ageism conflated with religionism/racism to have been been the reason that I was treated unfairly by Sainsburys plc.

Thank you for completing our survey!
