Dear Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group
1. I have received a letter from Dr Shah & Partners my GP Surgery about my prediabetic status as attached: FrLongCatlisRoadSurgery(DiabetesPreventionXYLAprogramme)4Nov2021.
2. As you are aware from the out of area referral to Maudsley Hospital that the Surgery made on Dr Odesanya the Consultant Psychiatrist's recommendation, I have been a mental patient of various NHS Institutions for the past 20 years and am currently on risperidone (anti-psychotic), sertraline (anti-depressant) and depakote (mood-stabilising) medications following various others that were tried over that period. The Surgery had advised me at least 3 years ago that I was prediabetic and this condition along with others that I have such as intermittent and excessive urination (not sure if this is a symptom of diabetes or not), so I need specialist advise right away from XYLA.
3. I would therefore be grateful if you would contact XYLA immediately to recruit me on to the programme without waiting for the two weeks that is indicated in this email as being the time for automatic referral unless I opt out in the meantime.
Yours sincerely
Dr Shantanu Panigrahi

PS: Incidentally is there any progress on my appointment with Maudsley Hospital for autism spectrum diagnostic services?
